He studied at the Brescia Fine Arts Academy where he graduated in September 2003.
Now he teaches Photography and Black and White Print in the same Institute.

Filippini has exhibited in Italy (Milan, Brescia, Mantova, Perugia, Naples, Foggia) and in United States (New York, North Carolina, New Jersey).

He worked with Italian and international photographers and artists, including Innocenzo Pedretti, his mentor-teacher, and with teachers of the Long Island University and the International Center of Photography.
